What kind of alcoholic drink is Johnnie Walker classified as?

Liquor? Spirit? Something else? I'm not a pro at classifying alcohol!|||Johnny Walker is a brand name. They sell mainly whiskey. The classicfication goes something like this.

Liquor %26gt; Whiskey %26gt; Scotch %26gt; Blended Scotch.

They make many blends, the most common ones labeled by colors which indcates the age of the oldest whisky used as part of the blend.

Red, black, gold, green and blue. Plus a few other names.|||scotch

also classified in different colors.

Least quality to highest - Red is low, black, blue, green, gold being the highest

Gold is also very oaky and hard to drink only for certain tastes|||Red and Black Label. It is whisky. I believe bourbon.|||All alcohol is liquor. Johnnie Walker is a whiskey.|||The Nectar of the Gods

Scotch Whiskey|||scotch, i think|||Scotch - distilled in Scotland

It is classified as a spirit.

Some may say it is a Scotch Whisky but "whisky" is quite different; it is not Scotch.

Cheers!|||The best way for you to learn is the answer to your question is to attend the new Johnnie Walker Journey - a fun, informative, private event showcasing each of their five famous blends, including their rarest blend, Johnnie Walker庐 Blue Label.庐

I took the journey once and learned all I ever want to know about Johnnie Walker.|||it's a spirit and its a Scotch Whiskey. (I think)|||It is Scotch WHISKEY.|||Whisky|||Johnny walker in it's varius labels are blended scotch whiskies of varoius ages depending on the color of the label with the exception of the green label which is a single malt|||Bourbon Whiskey

Well okay, maybe it is scotch and not bourbon.|||Johnny Walker is a whiskey. I'm not partial to it because I believe it is a little harsh. It depends a lot on how old you are (at least 21). When I was younger, I could drink a wider variety of drinks with fewer negative aftereffects. Now I prefer rum (Captain Morgan is my friend) and higher grade whiskeys. Knob Creek is a very smooth whiskey. Gentleman Jack is a single barrel whiskey that is very good. Buffalo Trace is a good one. Remember, Bourbon is only made in Kentucky. Bourbon is a whiskey but it can be called bourbon because it is made in Kentucky. Jack Danials is made in Tennessee. It cannot call itself bourbon.

Good luck with the whiskey question. My advice is: Spend the extra few bucks to get a better bottle of booze...it does make a difference in the long run.|||whiskey|||Scotch (liquor).|||scotch whiskey|||It's Scotch Whiskey, madam.|||It's whiskey and I have a friend with that same! It is his birth name!|||BLENDED Scotch Whisky. As opposed to a Single Malt Scotch whisky.

Johnny Walker is a mixture of malt whisky and grain whisky that a master blender would mix to get the desired smooth taste.

Don't go for the Red. The better tasting ones are Black, Gold and Blue label. If it is for your own consumption, buy Gold or Blue label. If it is for your in-laws or for friends whom you want to get rid of right away, let them drink Red label.

By the way, the Green label is actually pure malt (no grain whisky mixture) but is not single malt.
